Vacation Bible School 2011 Review

We had a wonderful week of VBS! The theme was PandaMania...Where God Is Wild About You!”

  1. On Day 1 the kids learned that “God Created You.” They decorated themselves as the days of creation, played a gamed called “Rainy Run Run, ate Maker Mix, watched Chadder arrive at Pop’s Panda Paradise and made miniature me Buddy cups.
  2. Day 2 the Bible point was “God Listens to You.” The kids prepared a sacrifice, like Elijah, only this was chocolate, played a game called Bamboo Balance, ate Elijah’s Alter (a cupcake) discov-ered with Chadder that all the pandas were missing and made megaphones.
  3. Day 3: the kids all got into a BIG FISH while learning the story of Jonah which illustrated the Bible Point of “God Watches Over You!” They played Panda Popcorn, ate “fish food”, made magnificent Magna-Scopes and wondered with Chadder who would be watching over him.
  4. Day 4: The story of Peter’s denial of Jesus and Jesus forgiving him showed the kids that “God Loves You, No matter What!” Backpacks were made to send to Latin America through “Kid to Kid” The kids ate Cross of Life, played Bamboo Rou and thought Chadder was crazy for taking the zipline.
  5. Day 5 was full of celebration with the story of Hannah illustrating “God Gives Good Gifts.” The kids played Very Fun Volleyball, ate sweet gifts, discovered who took all the Pandas and made a Cross Clip.
  6. Each day we had about 70 kids and 41 volunteers singing and dancing to wild songs. It was an amazing week.

THANK YOU to all who helped make it a success!
